Source's say that a verbal agreements is in place for former UFC light-heavyweight champion Tito (The Huntington Beach Bad Boy) Ortiz and Antonio Rogerio (Minotouro Nogueira to square off on Dec. 10 at UFC 140 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
Ortiz and Nogueira were originally matched up for UFC Fight Night 24, which took place on March 26, but Ortiz was forced to withdraw from the bout after sustaining a serious cut during training. Lil Nog was then matched up against Phil Davis, a bout he ended up losing via unanimous judges decision, which was his second loss in a row after he fell short against Ryan (Darth) Bader at UFC 119.
"The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" is also looking to return to the winners' circle, as he's 1-1 in his last two bouts, having recording a thrilling first-round submission victory over Bader at UFC 132, but subsequently losing in the second round vs. Rashad Evans at UFC 133, a bout he accepted on just three weeks' notice.
This bout will not be the main event for UFC 140, and apparently neither will Rogerio's twin brother's either. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira's next fight, a rematch vs Frank Mir, is being rumoured as the co-main event of the evening.
