A lightweight bout between a pair of Brazilian’s as been announced for the
UFC 139 card on November 19
th in San Diego, California as powerhouse
Gleison Tibau takes on talented all-rounder,
Rafael dos Anjos in what will likely be a preliminary card bout on the night.
Speaking via UFC.com, Tibau said:
“Two of the best Brazilian lightweights in the UFC have verbally agreed to fight as Rafael Dos Anjos takes on Gleison Tibau at UFC 139.”
Tibau has picked up back-to-back wins in 2011 so far, defeating Kurt Pellegrino and Rafaello Oliveira via unanimous decision and submission respectively. The Brazilian powerhouse has won four of his last five fights inside the distance.
As for Dos Anjos, he rebounded from a loss last year to Clay Guida and a number of months out through injury when he knocked out George Sotiropoulos in the very first round at UFC 132 last month in Las Vegas, Nevada.
