UFC 136 – Josh Grispi out, Nam Phan in for Matt Grice on October 8th in Houston, Texas

It’s all change on the UFC 136 card, set to go down October 8th in Houston, Texas, after it was revealed featherweight prospect, Josh Grispi has been forced to pull out of his fight with Matt Grice on the preliminary card portion of the evening and has been replaced by Nam Phan.
The news was made official by the Las Vegas based promotion just hours ago, announcing it via their Twitter page.
Phan will be under pressure heading into this one after coming up short in both his fights inside the octagon to date. Both were close decisions against top ranked 145 pounders in Leonard Garcia and Mike Brown, but he’ll need to get his hand raised in this one if he’s to retain his spot on the roster.
Grice, a former lightweight competitor, returned to the Las Vegas based promotion last month only to lose out to former WEC fighter, Ricardo Lamas via TKO. He’ll likely need a win in this one to remain on the payroll also.
