UFC 133 draws 11,583 attendance, $1.5 million live gate

PHILADELPHIA – Saturday's UFC 133 event drew an announced attendance of 11,583 fans and a live gate of $1.5 million.

UFC president Dana White announced the figures in the night's post-event press conference.

UFC 133 took place at Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center and saw Rashad Evans earn a second-round TKO win over Tito Ortiz in the evening's main event.

The number of complimentary tickets issued was not revealed, but the reported numbers represent an average revenue of $129.50 per ticket issued.

The UFC's first-ever trip to "The Keystone State" was for UFC 101 in August 2009. That event also took place in the same building. However, it was known at the time as Wachovia Center.

The sold-out UFC 101 card drew a reported 17,411 spectators for an apparent Pennsylvania combat-sports record $3.55 million gate. However, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission does not typically verify the receipts for public record.

The world's largest mixed martial arts promotion was also in Pennsylvania just six weeks ago, when Pittsburgh's Consol Energy Center earned a reported 7,792 attendees for a $562,310 gate
