Marloes Coenen says she would love to return to Strikeforce

Former Strikeforce 135 pound female champion, Marloes Coenen has revealed she would love to return to the California based MMA promotion despite a month of upheaval surrounding not only her but her Golden Glory camp, something that resulted in her being axed from the roster.
Speaking via MMAFighting.com, Coenen said:

“I’ve been in this game since I was a teenager. So I know how it works and it’s business. It really is a business and when we renegotiate, things can go hard. I just lost, I was very emotional about that. I had been dieting for two months, I had been training and training my butt off and then I lose. If I had not lost, then I would not have been cut.”
“I think Dana was misinformed because he wasn’t running the day-to-day activities and I think somebody told him wrong. He’s the spokesperson of the UFC and I think that’s what happened.”

Coenen was just defeated for the Strikeforce women’s 135 pound title by powerhouse wrestler, Miesha Tate, with many expecting her to get back on the horse early next year and restart her career with a fledgling promotion.
