HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. – Saturday's "Strikeforce and M-1 Global: Fedor vs. Henderson" event drew an announced 8,311 attendance and a $638,470 live gate.
The Showtime-televised event took place at Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill., near Chicago.
Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker announced the figures following the show.
The Illinois State Professional Athletic Commission will release official figures in the coming week. However, if the numbers stick, the event will have earned an average ticket price of $76.82.
Strikeforce's first and only other event at Sears Centre Arena took place in November 2009, though attendance and gate figures weren't announced for the show. In the CBS-televised headliner Fedor Emelianenko made quick work of Brett Rogers.
This year's Chicago-area show featured a heavyweight headliner between MMA legends Dan Henderson and Emelianenko. Thanks largely to that super-fight, most tickets were sold more than a week before the show, which Coker suggested was the most talent-rich in the organization's history.
Of Strikeforce's 10 shows in 2011, only two have topped Saturday's attendance mark.
