Gray Maynard is finally cleared to return to action, interested in fighting on UFC 136 card in Houston, Texas

UFC lightweight number one contender, Gray Maynard has revealed he’s finally medically cleared to return to training after three months out and he’s already earmarked UFC 136 for the possible rubber match with professional rival, Frankie Edgar.
Speaking via MMAJunkie.com, Maynard said:

“I’ve been cleared. Houston makes sense, but I don’t know if that’s what the UFC wants. I just wait until I get the contract.”

Edgar has already been cleared to fight and is back in the gym preparing himself to take on Maynard for a third time. The first time they met saw “The Bully” walk away with a unanimous decision victory but it was the second fight that really enthralled fans when both men fought to an entertaining draw in January.
