UFC 134 – Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira plans on fighting for another five years regardless of results

Former UFC and PRIDE champion, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira has revealed that he plans on fighting for at least the next five years to come ahead of his UFC 134 clash with Brendan Schaub in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, adding quitting the sport is the last thing on his mind.
Speaking via Fighters Only Magazine, Nogueira said:
“I am 100-percent recovered. Some moves that previously bothered me don’t mess me up anymore. The chance to fight in Rio was unique and I accepted to fight in Brazil immediately… I think it is still early to speak about retirement. Regardless of victory or loss, I believe I want to fight for five years and so I don’t even begin to think about quitting.”
Nogueira hasn’t seen action since February 2010 when he was knocked out by current UFC heavyweight champion, Cain Velasquez in the first round. He was due to return to action in September in a rematch with Frank Mir but a series of hip problems forced him to withdraw. Stay tuned to MMABay for more build-up to this one as we get it.
