The official weigh-in event for UFC 131: "Dos Santos vs. Carwin" is set to go down this Friday (June 10, 2011) from its new location: The Jack Poole Plaza in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Originally scheduled for the Rogers Arena, the promotion was forced to scramble for site B to accommodate for game five of the NHL's Stanley Cup Finals, hosted by none other than the Vancouver Canucks.
The UFC 131 weigh ins are currently scheduled to air LIVE right here on MMAmania.com, as well as several other online destinations via streaming video. The first fighter is expected to tip the scale at 2 p.m. local time (5 p.m. ET).
As usual, MMAmania.com will provide the latest coverage of the UFC 131 weigh-ins, as well as provide a detailed recap of the festivities as soon as they conclude.
"Dos Santos vs. Carwin" will feature former UFC heavyweight number one contender Shane Carwin, filling in for an injured Brock Lesnar, as he tries to eliminate The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 13 coach Junior dos Santos from the division title chase.
