Marshall Zelaznik starts making excuses over UK UFC event, claims venues are hard to come by

UK UFC President and the spin doctor of MMA, Marshall Zelaznik has begun to backtrack once again when it comes to the promotions return to these shores before the end of the year, claiming venues are hard to come by to fit in around dates that work for them, meaning fans could be left with ZERO events in 2011.
Posting via his Facebook page Zelaznik quipped:
“We are working hard to try and find a venue that works for our TV dates. Venues in the UK are hard to come by even with many months of notice.”
The writing is already on the wall regarding the UK event with top British fighters such as Michael Bisping, Dan Hardy and Paul Taylor all booked to compete on cards close to the rumoured October date. Calls to Zelaznik’s office this morning by MMABay over an interview about the situation were not returned as we were fobbed off by his PA, a familiar feeling for fans in the UK.
This is just another example in a long line of excuses coming out of the mouth of Zelaznik, the same mouth that famously uttered that the UK would be getting 4-6 events in 2011. Now it appears we could be left with none and Zelaznik will be left with hordes of even angrier fans.
