UFC welterweight contender, Jon Fitch has revealed that he’s been given the all-clear by his doctor to resume training on September 1st after having surgery on his shoulder earlier this year and he’s already targeting the UFC 138 card in San Jose for his first fight back. Posting via his Twitter page Fitch said:
Great news. I will be cleared to start training camp sept 1st. I’ll be more than ready for #UFC in San Jose.
The event in question is tentatively lined up for November 19th with Fitch likely to want to settle the score with B.J. Penn who he controversially drew with back in February. Stay tuned to MMABay for more news on this situation as we get it.By Michael Pepper.
