Garza opened the show by submitting Yves Jabouin with the rarely seen flying triangle choke. Jabouin landed several kicks early on, but in the final 90 seconds, Garza leaped into the air and immediately threw his legs around Jabouin's neck. Jabouin tried to wriggle free for several seconds and rolled, but could not keep Garza from tightening the choke and forcing the tapout.
