Tuff-N-Uff makes Cox Pavilion debut

Las Vegas' premiere amateur MMA promotion returns this weekend, and a featherweight grudge match is occupying the title slot.

"Tuff-N-Uff: The Future Stars of Mixed Martial Arts" heads to Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas tonight with "Mir vs. Barden."

Larry Mir and Chris Barden are the driving forces behind the card, but a middleweight title fight and a pair of welterweight tournament bouts also are featured on the promotion's first event since partnering with Justice Entertainment Group.

The night's 13-bout card will be taped for future distribution. MMAjunkie.com lead staff reporter John Morgan and "MMA:30" host and X107.5 FM radio personality Dave Farra once again have been hired to call the action.

Widely recognized as one of the sport's premier amateur fighting organizations, Tuff-N-Uff's events continue to attract top talent from across the nation.

In addition to the evening's featured contests, a full lineup of aspiring amateur fighters from some of the world's top academies – including 10th Planet Riverside, Arizona Combat Sports, LA Boxing, Team Tompkins, Team Wildman, Throwdown, Wand Fight Team and Xtreme Couture – also compete at the event.

Tuff-N-Uff has seen the likes of Shonie Carter, Jon Fitch and Aaron Riley compete under its banner, and recent entrants include the famed bloodlines of the Couture and Mir families.

Tickets for tonight's Tuff-N-Uff event, which start at just $23, are available at Cox Pavilion's box office or online at UNLVtickets.com and TuffNUff.net.
