Travis Bush vs. Yuri Villefort added to Strikeforce Challengers 16 prelims

For the first time ever on American soil, Brazil's fighting Villefort brothers will fight on the same card.

With Danillo Villefort already scheduled to meet Antwain Britt at Strikeforce Challengers 16, Yuri Villefort (6-0 MMA, 0-0 SF) now makes his Strikeforce debut against Travis Bush (5-2-1 MMA, 0-0 SF) in a welterweight contest.

The Villefort brothers' management team, Authentic Sports Management, today announced the new matchup.

"This will be our first fight together in America, but the second time when we both fight on the same night," Danillo and Yuri Villefort stated in the official release. "We bring luck to each other because we both won the first time, and June 24 will be the same result.

Strikeforce Challengers 16 takes place June 24 at ShoWare Center in Kent, Wash. The night's Showtime--broadcast main card features Caros Fodor vs. James Terry, as well as Ryan Couture vs. Matt Ricehouse.

Bush vs. Villefort is scheduled for the un-aired portion of the event.

"We are not here in America to play around. We moved our families here from Brazil for this profession and to work with Glenn (Robinson) and ASM, and we are going to show everyone a new breed of MMA and take over these two weightclasses."

Villefort made his professional debut in April 2009 and has scored five stoppage wins in his six professional outings. Three of the wins have come via submission, including his most recent outing, a June 2010 submission win over Jason Fitzhugh.

Meanwhile, Bush fights out of Lyle Beerbohm's Fancy Pants Fight Team. The Washington native has been fighting professionally since March 2006, including three bouts under the SportFight banner. Bush fought most recently in August 2010, when he earned a decision win over John Heath.
