Rafaello Oliveira replaces Bart Palaszewski, meets Gleison Tibau at UFC 130

An undisclosed injury has forced Bart Palaszewski (35-14 MMA, 0-0 UFC) out a UFC 130 bout with Gleison Tibau (22-7 MMA, 8-5 UFC), and lightweight Rafaello Oliveira (14-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC) returns to the UFC for the first time since early 2010 as a replacement.

Officials announced the change on Thursday.

UFC 130 takes place May 28 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view, though Oliveira vs. Tibau is slated for the Facebook-streamed portion of the preliminary card.

Initially, Palaszewski was slated to fight Cody McKenzie at the event, but he also was forced off the card due to an injury.

Tibau, a nearly-five-year UFC vet, looks to build on a decision win over Kurt Pellegrino at March's UFC 128 event. Tibau, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt who trains at Florida's American Top Team, is 3-1 in his past four octagon outings (his only loss came to top contender Jim Miller). Past UFC wins have come over the likes of Terry Etim, Josh Neer, Jeremy Stephens, Rich Clementi and Caol Uno.

Oliveira, a fellow Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, went 1-2 in his first UFC stint (2009-2010) with a win over John Gunderson and losses to Nik Lentz and Andre Winner. Since his promotional release, the Tennessee-base fighter has won four straight fights on the regional circuit while competing on the East Coast and in his native Brazil. Two of the victories came via decision over former WEC fighters Rafael Dias and Bendy Casimir.

The official UFC 130 card now includes:
