Tickets for the UFC's first-ever Fan Expo event in Houston go on sale in the next few weeks, the organization announced.
The announcement confirms the previously reported two-day fan festival and trade show, which takes place Oct. 7-8 at Houston's George R. Brown Convention Center.
As MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) first reported, a pay-per-view event, UFC 136, coincides with the expo.
Although not officially announced, UFC 136 could feature the return of UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez if he's healed from his recent shoulder surgery.
Houston becomes the fifth city to host the popular two-day fan festivals following expos in Las Vegas (twice), Boston, London and Toronto. The expo is expected to take place at Houston's George R. Brown Convention Center.
Tickets begin at $40 for one day or $55 for a two-day pass.
The UFC made its Texas debut with UFC 69. The event featured Matt Serra's stunning upset of then-welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre, as well as Josh Koscheck's victory over a seriously ill Diego Sanchez (staph infection) in the co-headliner.
