Mauricio “Shogun” Rua dubs Lyoto Machida’s flying kick “beautiful”, predicts they’ll meet again down the road

Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua has dubbed Lyoto Machida’s flying kick knockout of Randy Couture last weekend at UFC 129 as “beautiful”, before adding he doesn’t think his own rivalry with the karate expert is over with one win apiece.
Speaking via Tatame Magazine, “Shogun” said:
“I thought he was going to defeat Randy Couture. It really was a beautiful kick, but I knew he’d win. Lyoto absolutely is a guy I might have to fight again someday, and I believe I will. I don’t know when, but it’ll happen. Of course I’ll want to beat him, but we’re professionals. He’s great character, he has a good heart, so he’s a guy I admire a lot.”
“Shogun” will next take to the octagon on August 27th when he takes on the first man he faced when he crossed over to the ranks of the UFC, Forrest Griffin. Will he be able to avenge the defeat he suffered that night and begin the assent back to the light heavyweight title?
