What is usually a throwaway disclaimer buried on the bottom of a fight card in 0.2 font is now the latest catchphrase thanks to a series of unfortunate injuries that have forced UFC matchmaker Joe Silva to re-shuffle the UFC 130 fight card and line up for Zuffa's upcoming pay-per-view (PPV) event from the MGM Grand on May 28 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In case you're just joining us, "Edgar vs. Maynard III" is now "Edgar vs. Maynard Not Yet" following injuries to both UFC 130 headliners, who will conclude their trilogy at some point in late summer/early fall after they're all patched up.
Filling in for them will be former co-main eventers Quinton Jackson and Matt Hamill, who take over in the main event slot and create a spot on the main card for "Prelim" fighters Thiago Alves and Rick Story, who will join the PPV line up as the opening fight of the night.
And with the 170-pounders vacating the cable network special, middleweights Tim Boetsch and Kendall Grove will now enjoy a spot on Spike TV.
Got all that?
