The news was made official by the Las Vegas based promotion just hours ago, with the fight being listed on their website.
Edwards has reinvented himself at the late stage of his career, winning six of his last seven fights including octagon successes over John Gunderson and Cody McKenzie. Prior to that run he had considered retirement.
Stout enters the octagon with three wins in his last four fights including a split decision win over Paul Taylor at UFC 121 late last year. Prior to that he’d suffered a split decision loss to Jeremy Stephens.
