Cesar Gracie says Nate Diaz will be moving back to the lightweight division “where he belongs”

World renowned MMA coach, Cesar Gracie has revealed that “Ultimate Fighter” season five winner, Nate Diaz will be heading back to 155 pounds where he belongs after getting dominated by the much bigger Rory MacDonald this past weekend at UFC 129 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Speaking via MMAMania.com, Gracie said:
“Nate Diaz didn’t look too good. I’m gonna be the first one to say it. He looked lethargic out there and he’s been asking me to go back to 155 for some time now. Frankie Edgar is the champion over there and he’s the student of a good friend of mine. Nathan was one of the contenders at 155 so we brought him up to 170 but it looks like we’ll probably bring him back down to 155 where he belongs.”
The reason given for Diaz’ move to 170 pounds seem to be a strange one given the fact he was out of form and had been dominated by a number of wrestlers in the lightweight division, knocking him out of any sort of title contention. Stay tuned to MMABay for more on this development as we get it.
