Alan Belcher looking to return on the September 17th UFC Fight Night 25: Battle on the Bayou event

UFC middleweight, Alan Belcher is looking to make his comeback to the octagon close to home after recovering from a career threatening eye injury suffered while training in Brazil last year, with the UFC Fight Night 25 event lined up for September 25th in New Orleans in his sights.
Speaking via MMAJunkie.com his manager, Malki Kawa said:
“He’s from Mississippi and literally 25 minutes away. Hopefully (UFC matchmaker) Joe (Silva) can make it happen. It’d be a lot of pressure – (with) his first fight back being in front of all his friends and family.”
Belcher has made it clear that he doesn’t want any gimmes when he steps back inside the octagon, calling for a fight against an number of top title contenders including Demian Maia and Michael Bisping. Stay tuned to MMABay in the coming weeks for more on this situation as we get it.
