Because where else can you drop the F-bomb at work on a daily basis?
"This is an important day for the sport of mixed martial arts. We are excited to work with Lorenzo Fertitta, Frank Fertitta, Dana White and everyone at the UFC on the quest to make MMA the biggest sport in the world. Fans can continue to expect quality Strikeforce shows and we look forward to giving our athletes an even broader platform on which to perform."
Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker, who sounds "excited" to be working with UFC President Dana White and the Fertitta brothers in today's press release, may soon find himself punching a clock alongside former WEC boss Reed Harris now that Strikeforce has been acquired by Zuffa. While it's "business as usual" until Coker's contract with Showtime expires, there's little doubt the brands will merge somewhere down the road. Has the former king of silicon valley proven himself to be a valuable asset in this industry? And would the new super-promotion benefit from putting him in a key position as it prepares for global domination? Let's hear your take on where Coker fits into the long-term puzzle.
