“I’m here for the sport. I’ve been getting a lot of static about the stuff I’ve been saying about the UFC, and how I’ve been blasting them, but, at the end of the day, everyone, whether they like me or dislike me, whether they are a UFC fan or not a UFC fan, one thing they will say, if they’re honest, is that McKee is right. I’ve been bashing away at Dana White for the way he talks about fighters, calling them p*ssies, calling women c*nts, and F this and F that, calling unions a bunch of idiots. You’re an icon of the sport. The last thing we need is an icon showing this type of behavior to people who are engaging in this sport and support it. We need somebody to step up, that has a little bit of integrity and a little bit of respect for fighters, whether they’re good fighters or bad fighters, the fact that they’re fighters, and just show a little bit more appreciation. I’d like to vote Dana White out of the UFC and bring in somebody that has a little bit more courtesy and common sense, because this guy’s definitely smoking some dust.”Respect
“I’m not out to bash the UFC. I love the UFC. I love the arena, the energy is amazing. What makes the show are the fighters, and when you have a person talking to the fighters like they’re a bunch of girls, or they’re not men, this is a professional sport, and we need to be respected. When you got a guy, with a bald head, on juice, running his mouth about how we’re a bunch of p*ssies, or we’re not this and we’re not that, I have a problem with that, considering that if any of us were to meet him in an alley, he’d get beat up.”
Cut from the roster
As far as me getting cut from the UFC, it’s a professional business, and they did what they had to do. I didn’t appreciate it being on a split decision. A lot of people that saw the fight thought I won. The crowd boo’d when they gave the decision, and that’s the first time a crowd has ever cheered for me, and I felt like I actually won the fight, although my paycheck didn’t say that. But, again, the judges make their own decisions, and I let it go to the judges, and from that point on, I said ‘I’m not gonna let another fight go to the judges.’ I’ve been known for decisions, because I was comfortable with that. Coming right off of that loss, I finished my next opponent in the first round. I’m pretty much gonna finish everybody that I fight, and if not, it’s got to stop.”
Retirement
“Things are going good. I’m staying real busy. I started KnockOut Promotions. I’ve been doing some awesome shows, and I’m just treating fighters how I would like to be treated. I’m trying to set a different tempo for guys that want to be promoted. Trying to show these guys how they should be treated as a professional. Besides that, I’m getting ready to try to fight Aoki for the New Year, and then I’m gonna finish off against the guy that knocked out Drew Fickett. That will be for Mark Pavelich’s MFC. I’m gonna take him out, take out Aoki, then it might be time to call it and retire. I’m from the life of hard knocks, and sh*t ain’t always good over here. My body is starting to hurt. And you know how I feel about steroids. I’m totally against the steroids and all the enhancements. The supplements that enhance your ability to perform out there. When my body starts telling me it’s time to stop, I become a little slower, starting to pick up injuries, then it’s time to stop.”
