Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) once again gave fight fans a chance to catch a handful of preliminary bouts when it aired a portion of last Saturday's UFC 127: "Penn vs. Fitch" undercard on ION Television.
The network television broadcast attracted an average of 714,000 viewers according to MMA Weekly, down slightly from the 829,000 average garnered for UFC 125: "Resolution" back on Jan. 1.
ION's UFC 127 "Prelims" special featured a lightweight scrap between Ross Pearson and Spencer Fisher as well as the 205-pound battle between James Te Huna vs. Alexander Gustafsson.
And let's not forget the ugly decision win for Nick Ring over fellow middleweight Riki Fukuda.

UFC 127 featured former lightweight champion B.J. Penn battling perennial welterweight contender Jon Fitch to a majority draw in the main event of the evening.
Aspiring 185-pound contender Michael Bisping silenced the uprising of fellow trash talking middleweight Jorge Rivera in the co-featured fight of the night (and a bout riddled with controversy), while local favorite George Sotiropoulos dropped down the 155-pound ladder with an upset loss to German kickboxer Dennis Siver.
