Thiago Alves planning a quick knockout of Rick Story before asking to fight at UFC Rio

So he tells Tatame:

"I'm prepared, training hard since now, because on my last fight I was heisting because I was coming from two losses and it was the first time I was following this diet and working with the guys I'm working now, so I doubted it a little... next fight I won't be afraid, I'll be at ease, I'll go for the quick knockout or submission. This fight won't last long. I want to knockout or submit him quickly, to get the microphone and ask Dana White to fight on UFC Rio, because the dream of every Brazilian is to fight in Brazil. I'll work hard to be there, if God helps me, in August."

Thiago Alves is just a welterweight, trying to make his way home. And he plans on doing so by making quick work of Rick Story at UFC 130 on May 28 in Las Vegas. After he knocks him out (or submits him, whichever comes first) he wants to take the mic from Joe Rogan and plead his case to company head honcho Dana White to let him appear at the upcoming August event in Brazil. "The Pitbull" has quickly become the forgotten contender, what with all the drama surrounding Jon Fitch, B.J. Penn and of course, Georges St. Pierre defending his title against Jake Shields before he leaves the land of 170-pounds for bigger challenges at middleweight. If Alves does what he says he will and takes out Story, where does that put him in the rapidly realigning welterweight division? And who is a possible opponent for him when the world's largest fight promotion invades his native land?
