Dana White voices his frustration at Wanderlei Silva’s attitude to possibly fighting Vitor Belfort

UFC President, Dana White is clearly unhappy with Brazilian legend, Wanderlei Silva this week after he practically turned down a rematch with fellow countryman, Vitor Belfort in July as he continues to lobby for a fight with heavy handed crowd favourite, Chris Leben instead.
Speaking at the UFC 128 post-fight press conference, Dana said:
“We offer him the Vitor (Belfort) fight, and now he’s on Twitter lobbying to fight Chris Leben. I don’t want him to fight Chris Leben, I want him to fight Vitor Belfort. Vitor Belfort has accepted the fight, wants the fight, now we’re waiting for Wanderlei to accept.”
“Wanderlei Silva turned down Brian Stann, too. Wanderlei turned down the fight with Brian Stann. We asked him to take that fight and he turned it down. That’s the fight (against Belfort) that I want. Wanderlei is lobbying for a Chris Leben fight.”
Dana revealed that the fight between Wanderlei and Belfort, if they can get it agreed, would likely serve as the co-main event of the evening at UFC 132 on July 2nd, making it very tough for either man to make the end of August Rio de Janeiro show in their home nation of Brazil.
