The UFC happy to snap up top rated Japanese featherweight, Hatsu Hioki any time he wants

The UFC have today made it clear that they are looking to sign Sengoku featherweight champion, Hatsu Hioki over the next few months, issuing a “come and join us” plea to the top rated Japanese fighter.
UFC matchmaker, Sean Shelby told MMAFighting.com this week:
“If Hioki wanted in the UFC, I would be happy to have him. Because of the way the merger is, my roster is full. I wasn’t looking to add talent until June or July, but I would make room for Hioki at any point.”
Hioki is rated by many to be the second best featherweight on the planet behind UFC champion, Jose Aldo and his signing would certainly be in line with the promotions recent policy of snapping up top rated talent from the flagging Sengoku ranks. Stay tuned to MMABay in the coming weeks for more on this as we get it.
