A potentially explosive showdown between two of the most technical light heavyweights on the planet, Gegard Mousasi and Roger Gracie, is reportedly being lined up for the April 9th Strikeforce show.
Sources close to the two men revealed the news earlier today to MMAWeekly.com, adding verbal agreements are in place on both sides although no official paperwork has been signed as yet.
Mousasi took time out from his career with Strikeforce following his April loss to “King Mo” Lawal, heading over to Japan where he captured the DREAM light heavyweight title. He had been rumoured to be facing Mike Kyle on his return to the California based promotion but that fight seems to have been scrapped.
Gracie is undefeated at 4-0 overall and recently picked up and impressive submission win over veteran, Trevor Prangley on the promotions January show. He also holds a win over former UFC heavyweight champion, Kevin Randleman.
