UFC 130 – Matt Hamill on Quinton Jackson: “I’m glad he’s so motivated. He won’t have any excuses when I beat him”

UFC light heavyweight star on the rise, Matt Hamill has today been speaking about his upcoming UFC 130 co-main event clash with former champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, saying the Memphis native’s newfound motivation is only a good thing as far as he’s concerned.
Speaking via MMAJunkie.com, Hamill said:
“I’m just glad Rampage accepted the fight. I had my doubts if he would or not. I’m glad he’s so motivated. He won’t have any excuses when I beat him. I will prove I belong in the title mix at 205 (pounds). ‘Rampage’ is an old-school brawler. I’m much more of a complete mixed martial artist. I have the heart to break his will, and I will make ‘Rampage’ very uncomfortable in this fight.”
“As for a title shot, I only have eyes for ‘Rampage.’ I don’t care what happens after that. He’s the guy I want right now.”
Hamill is on a five fight winning streak at the minute which includes wins over Keith Jardine and Tito Ortiz but despite that many fans are calling this fight one of the biggest mismatches of 2011 so far. Does “The Hammer” really have what it takes to get the job done against the former champion?
