UFC 127 – Jorge Rivera admits his pre-fight antics have been designed to make Bisping lose his cool

UFC middleweight veteran, Jorge Rivera has been speaking about the trash-talking nature of his UFC 127 pre-fight comments aimed at opponent, Michael Bisping, explaining they are designed to make the Brit want to bring the fight to him rather than “run around for fifteen minutes”.
Speaking via MMAJunkie.com, Rivera said:
“You knock me out and shut me the [expletive] up? Everything is cool. It’s no problem. That’s what I get for running my mouth. I look at this fights, and I think to myself, ‘Dude, you run around for 15 minutes; you don’t finish people.’ Make it an exciting fight. Come to fight me.”
“I don’t take too much of this personally. I’m having fun with everything right now. Let’s just get ready to fight. I’m having fun. I’m entertaining the fans. This is me as a fighter to entertain. To make you guys laugh (and) enjoy it and want to see the fight. And I have to go in there and deliver. That’s what I plan on doing.”
“We’re all trying to get the same thing. Outside of fighting, I don’t hang out with 20 of these guys. We’re just business acquaintances.”
In one weeks time the pair will be in the co-main event of UFC 127, second only to the welterweight shootout between former lightweight champion, B.J. Penn and top 170 pound contender, Jon Fitch. Who will prevail when “The Count” squares off with “El Conquistador” inside the octagon?
