Report: Brian Ebersole tapped to replace Carlos Condit at UFC 127 against Chris Lytle

UFC welterweight Chris Lytle will reportedly remain on the UFC 127: "Penn vs. Fitch" pay-per-view event on Feb. 26 in Sydney, Australia, now that Brian Ebersole has agreed to step in for the injured Carlos Condit.
Fight News Australia brought word of the change in opponents earlier today.
Ebersole (44-15) has racked up seven straight wins and is 11-1 since 2007 competing mostly "Down Under." His only loss during that span was a submission (strikes) defeat to Bellator big shot Hector Lombard under the Cage Fighting Championship (CFC) banner in September 2008.
The "Bad Boy" will make his UFC debut on just over two weeks notice against one of the sport's most grizzled veterans.

Lytle (30-17-5), who could be knocking on the contender's door with another win, has seemingly gotten his second wind in the 170-pound division, winning four straight contests and racking up another collection of "Fight Night" bonuses.
The Indianapolis firefighter was last seen beating down a stocky and cocky Matt Serra at UFC 119 back in September 2010 and by Lytle's own admission, "it's now or never" for his run at the welterweight title.
But will this sudden change in opponents put the "Lights Out" on his title aspirations?
UFC 127 will feature B.J. Penn taking on welterweight stalwart Jon Fitch. Michael Bisping has also been tapped to silence the uprising of fellow middleweight Jorge Rivera while local favorite (and lightweight contender) George Sotiropoulos battles Dennis Siver.
