UFC Quick Quote: Forrest Griffin feels 'weird' and 'nervous' heading into Rich Franklin fight

"A good break now and then is great for your body, but it was too long. This is the most ring rust I've ever had. I'm not excited about it... Being off for the year, that's huge. It's a weird feeling. I'm a little more nervous than usual."
-- An open and honest Forrest Griffin let's reporters in (via ESPN.com) on his not-so-confident mindset little more than one week away from his 205-pound showdown with Rich Franklin at UFC 126: "Silva vs. Belfort" in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Feb. 5, 2011. The former light heavyweight champion laments that ring rust after a year-long layoff has him concerned -- Griffin sat out all of 2010 recovering from shoulder surgery. In fact, he hasn't competed since taking a split decision over Tito Ortiz back in Nov. 2009, which snapped a two-fight losing skid. It was a big win, coming on the heels of his embarrassing first round technical knockout loss to Anderson Silva at UFC 101. Now he needs to do it again, but "Ace" is no cupcake. He's certainly not easing his way back into action. Will Griffin's shaky state-of-mind have him in tears or running from the cage next Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay Events Center or will he have the last laugh over the former middleweight champion?
