The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation today issued its list of medical suspensions for UFC Fight Night 23: "Fight for the Troops 2," which took place on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, from the Fort Hood Army Base in Killeen, Texas.
With several of the bouts ending early (and violently), there were a handful of fighters who were flagged follow up visits with their doctors.
Chief among them is undefeated heavyweight Matt Mitrione. "Meathead" has been suspended indefinitely after using his left hand to play Donkey Konga on Tim Hague's face.
"The Thrashing Machine" is forced to sit out until Feb. 22 for being on the receiving end of said damage.
Also getting a mandatory timeout was Willamy Freire, who was suspended indefinitely for injuries sustained to his right hand and cheek in his unanimous decision loss to Waylon Lowe.
But that's not all.
