According to his recent interview with Duane Finley:
"I like Eddie Wineland a lot. We've had time to hang out before over the years and he's a cool dude. He' a very entertaining fighter with good stand-up prowess but I'm not threatened by that. I fought Jose Aldo for 25 minutes and I've fought devastating strikers and I've yet to be knocked out. I'm not planning on getting donkey slammed and I'm not real vulnerable for body shots. That is how he's finished his last couple of guys. I think his best chance of winning is on the feet and my best chance of winning is anywhere."Is "The California Kid" over-estimating his ability to absorb punishment? Or does the former WEC featherweight champion have the resume to back it up? Wineland has won four straight fights with two back-to-back knockout finishes including a "donkey slam" over Ken Stone at WEC 53 just last month. Can he upset Faber, who will be making just his second appearance at 135-pounds, at UFC 128 on March 19 in Newark, NJ?
