Formerly ranked number one heavyweight in the world, Fedor Emelianenko has said he’s looking forward to an exciting fight with former EliteXC champion, Antonio “Big Foot” Silva on February 12th in East Rutherford, New Jersey after going through a “very strong” training camp.
Speaking via FightHype.com, Fedor said:
“I wanted to finish the fight with Werdum early and I made a mistake. I have moved past this and have been training hard. I can’t wait to fight again. Silva is a great fighter. My training camp has been very strong…I look forward to competing February 12th against Antonio Silva. He is a great athlete. This will be an exciting fight.”
Fedor takes on former EliteXC heavyweight champion, Antonio “Big Foot” Silva in the quarter-finals of the tournament and could meet current champion, Alistair Overeem or the last man to defeat him, Fabricio Werdum in a blockbuster semi-final match-up.
