"We found out that Matt Hamill actually requested to fight Rampage. His camp pushed hard for it turning down other possible opponents. When Quinton found this out, his opinion rapidly changed on Matt Hamill. Matt's strategically aiming at Quinton with the words if he takes out the ex-champ then he's in the mix for a shot. Those are brave words considering Rampage just beat (Lyoto) Machida. So the fight is set for May 28, Rampage doesn't take lightly to being called out."Sounds like someone (cough-Dana White) has been in Quinton Jackson's ear, trying to sell him on a fight against Matt Hamill at UFC 130 on May 28. It didn't take much; as soon as he was told "The Hammer" was turning down opponents and specifically calling out "Rampage" in the hopes of using him as a stepping stone to a title shot, the former light heavyweight champion quickly changed his tune on the fight he was otherwise indifferent to. In fact, he literally said he now plans to "knock him into tomorrow." Laws of time and physics aside, it seems the necessary juice has been injected into the match-up and now we can all get excited for Jackson vs. Hamill over the Memorial Day weekend
