Shannon Knapp has announced that Invicta FC will be aired PPV through DirecTV. The (Nasdaq: DTV) said it agreed to carry a July 13 women's mixed martial arts pay-per-view event from Invicta Fighting Championships.
The top satellite TV provider was the last major holdout for the MMA event. Invicta had previously lined up distribution on Dish Network (Nasdaq: DISH) and major cable MSOs through distribution deals with In Demand.
The event will be headlined by Marloes Coenen & Cris Cyborg in a rematch to crown the promotion's first featherweight championship.
