Roy 'Big Country' Nelson sets UFC record despite loss

Roy Nelson set the UFC record for heavyweights for most strikes absorbed without being knocked out following his UFC 161 loss on Saturday night in Winnipeg.

“Roy Nelson broke a UFC record tonight: 437 significant strikes absorbed without being knocked out.  It’s a new UFC record,”

said UFC president Dana White during the event’s post-fight press conference.
