A lightweight bout between “Ultimate Fighter” season thirteen runner-up, Ramsey Nijem and tough as nails former member of the WEC roster, Danny Downes has been announced for the UFC 137 card on October 29th in Las Vegas, Nevada. The promotion made the announcement earlier today meaning both fighters have likely put pen to paper on their official bout agreements.
Nijem was last seen in action on the reality show’s most recent finale, losing out to eventual winner, Toney Ferguson via first-round knockout. Prior to that he’d outlasted a group of other hopefuls to reach the final.
That same card saw 25-year old Downes take a beating on his octagon debut at the hands as heavy hitter, Jeremy Stephens, losing the fight via unanimous decision. His biggest win to date was over Chinese star Zhang Tiequan at WEC 53.
