DREAM 17, currently scheduled for Sept. 24, 2011, at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, will now feature three five-minute rounds for non-title fights and five five-minute rounds for championship bouts. The promotion had previously implemented the PRIDE Bushido round structure of one ten-minute round followed by one five-minute round for non-title fights and one ten-minute round followed by two five-minute rounds for championship bouts. Anyone think this is a change for the better? Or does DREAM lose some of its uniqueness with the generic format?
