UFC 131 – Shane Carwin expects Junior dos Santos to come prepared for every eventuality

Former UFC interim heavyweight champion, Shane Carwin has been giving his final thoughts on his fight tomorrow night with Junior dos Santos on the UFC 131 card in Vancouver, Canada, explaining he expects the Brazilian to come fully prepared for every eventuality.
Speaking via UFC.com Carwin said:
“I feel like you don’t get a lot of these opportunities in life, and this is a great opportunity. It gives me a chance to go out there and perform and do something that I love. Dos Santos is a top ten guy in the world, and I think this is the fourth top ten guy I’ve fought in a row.”
“Nelson has an iron chin, and dos Santos is the real deal. I think he’s real well-rounded, very difficult to take down, and nobody’s ever really got to see his jiu-jitsu on the ground. He’s worked with (Antonio Rodrigo) Nogueira so you know he’s gonna be well-versed and his striking and his speed is the top of the heap in the heavyweight division.”
“I think dos Santos has got that attitude. He’s full of confidence right now and he’s been destroying people. When I see dos Santos and his attitude, I think he would stand and bang with anybody.”
Carwin has received an unexpected fast pass back to the top of the heavyweight division as he steps in for former champion, Brock Lesnar at UFC 131 next month to take on Brazilian knockout artist, Junior dos Santos in the main event of the evening. Stay tuned to MMABay for more build-up to this one as we get it.
