Speaking via Tatame Magazine, Saffiedine said:
“I haven’t signed any contract yet so it’s only rumors for now. Hopefully I’ll know soon. Cyborg is a legend of the sport. He has been around for a long time and he is always looking for the KO. I believe I’m a smarter fighter and with a good game plan, you can win any fight.”
“It would be a huge step in my career, I always think that my next fight, whoever I’m facing, will always be the biggest fight of my career, that’s what give me motivation and Cyborg is a big name in and out of Strikeforce. We both lost and we both need to win, which would make this fight even more exciting.”
Saffiedine will be looking to rebound from a decision loss to Tyron Woodley in January, a fight that headlined the Strikeforce Challengers 13 card. The loss snapped a three-fight winning streak. Stay tuned to MMABay for more on this situation as we get it.
