The UFC middleweight title will reportedly be on the line when the Las Vegas based promotion visits Rio de Janeiro on August 28th according to Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira after he revealed Anderson Silva would take on Yushin Okami in the main event of the evening.
Nogueira revealed the news to Tatame Magazine earlier today, meaning Silva will get the chance to avenge the last loss he suffered as a professional MMA fighter, albeit a disqualification.
Silva has been racking up win after win in the 185 pound weight division, stopping the likes of Chael Sonnen and Vitor Belfort inside the distance of late. He also owns impressive TKO wins over the likes of Rich Franklin, Forrest Griffin and Chris Leben.
As for Okami, he rebounded from a set back against Chael Sonnen in 2009 by racking up three impressive and unusually entertaining wins, including decisions against Mark Munoz and Nate Marquardt.
