UFC 129 – Daniel Roberts credits the Cesar Gracie team for his quick rise up the welterweight ranks

UFC welterweight prospect, Daniel Roberts has today heaped praise on the Cesar Gracie camp ahead of his next battle inside the octagon, claiming that working with the kind of champions he does every day has meant his own game has been taken to the next level.
Speaking via MMAJunkie.com, Roberts said:
“We’re feeding off Gil and Nick’s win, so we’re eager to fight ourselves. Champions train different than other fighters. I’ve trained with a lot of good fighters before, and it was OK. But training with champions, they do everything to the extreme.”
On his upcoming fight at UFC 129 on April 30th with the dangerous Canadian, Claude Patrick, Roberts said:
“I’ll definitely be happy to grapple with him. He’s got a good record, but I’m just more motivated than ever to fight. I want to keep this pattern going because this is the best training camp I’ve had.”
Roberts has now won three in a row since rebounding from that disappointing first round TKO loss to John Howard early last year, decisioning Forrest Petz before submitting both Mike Guymon and Greg Soto. Stay tuned to MMABay for more build-up to this one as we get it.
