Nick Diaz will not face disciplinary action from the California State Athletic Commission despite post-fight outburst

Strikeforce welterweight champion, Nick Diaz will not face disciplinary action following Saturday night’s win over Paul “Semtex” Daley by the California State Athletic Commission after the fighter appeared to gesture both to the crowd and opponent post-fight.
Speaking via MMAJunkie.com, California State Athletic Commission executive director, George Dodd said that no action is pending against the man from Stockton despite an official informing him immediately after he stepped out of the cage that he should expect a ban.
The fighter had made reference to the conversation in a number of post-fight interviews, adding he expected to face some sort of punishment. It appears he’ll be able to continue to forge on in the welterweight division in 2011 as he looks to add to his ten-fight winning streak.
