Multipower Professional enters the world of MMA with UK fighter sponsorships

Leading European sports nutrition company, Multipower, has entered the world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) with the signing of four exciting British fighters to add to its stable of sporting ambassadors.
Michael Page, Tom Breese, Jimmy Wallhead and Nick Chapman have all joined the brand in a deal that will see them endorse the Multipower Professional range, a selection of highly effective and scientifically advanced products designed to maximise training and performance levels.

Jimmy ‘Judo’ Wallhead, has won 23 of his 30 fights to date and has established himself as a headliner in the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts (BAMMA) arena with an impressive record in the welterweight division. Wallhead, who will compete in a headline attraction in Newcastle on Saturday March 9th, said: “I’ve been using Multipower Professional products for a number of years to help prepare for fights, so I’m delighted to be officially working with them in 2013.”

Michael ‘Venom’ Page, is one of the most talked about fighters on the circuit and his unorthodox fighting style makes him one of MMA’s must watch. After making the transition from Kickboxing to MMA, he remains undefeated after his first three fights. Page, a welterweight, has already been transferred to Bellator, which will see him compete on 21st March. Page said: “I’m looking forward to working with Multipower Professional during 2013 as I pursue my aspirations to reach the top of the sport.”

Fellow welterweight competitor Tom ‘Fearless’ Breese, is also undefeated following six professional fights and at just 21 years of age, is being widely tipped as a future UFC fighter. Breese said: “Nutrition is crucial to the success of any MMA fighter, and it’s great for me to have the advice and support of Multipower Professional as I prepare for my next fight.”

The fourth new signing to the Multipower Professional portfolio is Guildford-born Nick ‘Headhunter’ Chapman, who competes in the light heavyweight division. Chapman, owner of Fight-Science gym in Aldershot said: “It’s great to be able to call on the support of Multipower Professional and their extensive range of products.
All four fighters will work closely with Multipower’s Nutritionist Drew Price who brings a wealth of experience having worked with a range of top athletes, cyclists and sports clubs including Chelsea FC and Leeds RFC.

Multipower’s UK Marketing Manager, Shân Savage said: “We are delighted to announce our sponsorships within the MMA arena. It’s an exciting year for all four fighters and we are thrilled to be able to support them during it. Together with our planned new product launches, our work with these individuals will ensure we continue to increase our Professional range presence.”
