MMABLOGSPOT™ Exclusive with UFC flyweight champion Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson

Its been a while since we've spoke so I want to start by congratulating you and Destiny for tying the knot, and especially making UFC history by becoming the first ever flyweight champion! 'Mighty Mouse' holds an impressive record of 16-2-1 and is one of the fastest growing stars in mma , with Impressive wins over Miguel Torres, Ian McCall & standout Joseph Benavidez, who he beat at UFC 152 to win the flyweight title.

So how does it feel wearing gold around your waist?
It feels good man, a lot of hard work paid off and ready to get after the next fight.
When you met McCall the first time it was called a majority draw, did you think that was a fair result?, we know he doesn't! However 2nd time it was unanimous decision, which was all your fight.! Honestly I thought I won the first fight 2-1 but hey everyone makes mistakes in scorecards. We did the right thing to fix that problem which was to fight again and it was a good fight.

We have read/seen the bad blood between you and 'Uncle Creepy' Ian mcCall so is there still beef between you guys?
Lol there was never no beef on my side, I have no problem with Ian. He is a great guy and athlete. I have never dislike any of my opponents there no reason to.

On UFC on FX 5 we saw the flyweight contender born in John Dodson! How you see that fight matching up?
It's gonna be a good fight. Dodson showed the world he is an all-round fighter, with great KO power, is this something your gonna prepare for? Yup I will be prepared for everything. :-)

Could you ever see yourself moving back to bantamweight for a Cruz rematch?
Naw not right now. I still think there Is alot I can accomplish at flyweight and improve on my game.

One of your only loses have been in the hands of the British KO artist Brad Pickett at WEC48 , would you like to defend that loss?
Nope don't even think about that loss. It's behind me and I learned a lot from it.

We know your mega busy, but do you still manage to game online? And has your sponsor Xbox hooked you up?
Lol absolutely, right now I am playing resident evil 6. The partnership with is Xbox is going fantastic couldn't ask for a better team to be behind me since the very beginning.

Whats your top 3 games at the minute?
Darksider2
Resident evil6
Those are the two I am working on right now and wait for halo 4 and new gear or war to come out.
