Arish and Inman speak about their main event clash, UK MMA standouts weigh-in on FCC!

The North West’s hottest up and coming amateur Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event, Full Contact Contender (FCC), is counting down the days until FCC 4: Arish vs Inman, taking place in the Premier Suite at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium on October 20th, 2012. With just days to go before FCC 4, Full Contact Contender is proud to reveal the final promotional video for their 1st anniversary card! Accompanied by the official FCC theme song by Betrayal, the video highlights many of the fights and fighters from Saturday’s stacked card at the De Vere’s Premier Suite in Bolton’s Reebok Stadium. As their pivotal welterweight clash nears, Matt Inman and Ali Arish have opened up on the task ahead of them in Saturday night’s main event.

A man of few words, Ali Arish said:

“I say ‘Nobody knows what’s going on. Only God knows’ yeah? What’s happening is we go in there, we give a hand shake and we do the best fight for people to enjoy.” Matt Inman said “Hey, it’s gonna be a tough fight! It’s a tough fight for both of us, y’know? Everyone knows what Ali can do and that he’s a good guy. I’m not gonna make a prediction at this point, I’m just gonna get in there and go with the flow...but I’m feeling good about it!” In addition, some of the UK scene’s leading lights have been weighing in on Full Contact Contender.

Former UFC fighter Tom Blackledge, who coaches numerous fighters on FCC 4, had this to say “(FCC 3 was) absolutely fantastic. Watching the show, the values of the show...and not only that, the way that they look after the fighters is a big thing to me, because I’ve fought on bad shows. But FCC was run perfectly, it was exciting, and the level was high. (I was) very, very impressed with the show!” Meanwhile, former UFC and current Cage Warriors lightweight standout Aaron ‘Daywalker Wilkinson, who has trained with both Ali Arish and Matt Newman, weighed in on the fight.

Wilkinson said
“I like Ali, he’s a nice guy and we’ve trained with him at The Wolfslair, I’ve known him for a long time. Ali is a great wrestler, but I just don’t think he’s got as good a skill set as Matt’s got. I don’t think he’s as well rounded...his wrestling is great but I think Matt’s defence is gonna be enough. At some point Matt might get put down, but I can’t see him staying there and I can’t see him repeatedly taking him down, so I don’t know where’s he’s gonna beat Matt. It’ll be a great fight!” Wilkinson, who coaches three fighters from his Daywalkers Gym on Saturday’s card, also gave his thoughts on Full Contact Contender’s rise to prominence.
