Duffy picked up the injury during his defeat to Ivan Musardo in their clash for the vacant CWFC lightweight title at Cage Warriors 44 in London on October 1.
The Irishman sustained a double fracture to his left hand during Round 3 of the fight, breaking two metacarpals, and underwent surgery to repair the damage a week later.
A return to the cage had been provisionally pencilled in for Cage Warriors 45 in February, but Duffy will now have to endure a longer than expected lay-off.
After a consultation this week, the 23-year was informed that he'll require further surgery to correct the injury, which is likely to extend his absence until May or June.
