Just four days removed from hosting their first show on FOX, the UFC announced two bouts that will take place in their debut event on FX. A heavyweight brawl between Pat Barry (Pictured) and Christian Morecraft, as well as a lightweight shootout with Josh Neer and Duane Ludwig were confirmed for the January show.
Barry will be riding a two-fight losing streak into the 265-pound affair. The likeable striker was last seen getting submitted by Stefan Struve at “UFC on Versus 6” in October.
Morecraft was knocked out by Matt Mitrione the last time he took the stage. After entering the big leagues with a perfect 6-0 record, he has gone on to lose two of his three fights under the UFC’s banner.
Neer has won his last five contests, with his most recent victory coming in a TKO win over Keith Wisniewski in October.
After dropping his first two scraps in the UFC, Ludwig has managed to rattle off two straight wins. “Bang” posted a unanimous decision win over Amir Sadollah at “UFC on Versus 5.”
Very little information regarding the event has been made available. However, the UFC said they will release the city, date and international viewing information shortly.
